A new post
I can hardly believe that it has been about 8 months since I last have posted! A lot has happened in that time... but the craziest is that we almost have a TWO year old! How did that even happen? I can hardly believe it. Time seems to just go faster and faster and I really can't keep up. Me and Hayden graduated from BYU-Idaho in December and it was really neat because we got to walk together. I got to sit next to him and everything, it was really cool. I am not sure if I would have even accomplished that if it wasn't for him! But I am even more proud of him! He received the Gordon B. Hinckley communicator award and graduated with I think a 3.7 gpa... that is HUGE! It was kind of crazy and the week after graduation , which also happened to be the day after Christmas we made a big move clear to Cedar City Utah where we now live. That in itself has been a huge adjustment, and to be honest we are still trying to get the hang of things here and get used to our new life. I'm not sure why it has been such a hard adjustment, but it has been, and its been hard for all of us. 3 days after arriving here Hayden started working, and then 10 days after we got here he started classes. All of his classes are at night so that has definitely been different, but we are managing. We have survived one of the toughest parts so far and I am happy to say that he only has 3 weeks of classes left until Spetempber!! We are so excited about that. He is gone a lot so I am trying to keep me and Avery busy, which is no easy task with a 2 year old, haha. But she is a good sport. Hayden has to be on campus a lot because of all the group projects he is a part of, and yesterday when Avery found out Hayden had to go to campus she ran and got her shoes and said, " Aya go to s'cool with daddy!" (She pronounces her name Aya). It made Hayden so so sad, haha. After we had been here about 4 weeks we found out we were expecting another baby. This was a huge shock to us and it is a little nerve wracking but we are so excited about this new baby. We are almost 15 weeks along and will be finding out the gender in just 4 weeks. The biggest surprise has been Avery and her excitement over it. We thought she would be too little to really understand, but she knows. She has been to both ultrasounds with us and the whole time she says, "Baby!! Baby!!" So I'm sure she doesn't quite get the whole jist of it right now and I am sure it is going to be an adjustment for her, but it makes us excited to see her excitement about it:) We aren't sure why we are here... I mean obviously for Hayden to get his masters degree... but other than that we are still trying to figure it out. We are trying to grow closer together and we are learning how to depend on just eachother, and I think that has been good for us, but like I said it's been an adjustment for sure. I am re-learning faith and how to trust in the Lord at this time. I am re-learning that He has a plan for us and that He wants us to be happy. I am re-learning a lot of things, and I am sure by the time this 2 years are up we will have such fond memories of Cedar City... but right now we are just trying to like it :)
