Best aunt award goes to this fun girl!! 

Have you ever seen a fuller diaper?! We laughed and laughed at Avery's diaper after she was done swimming. She looked so funny waddling around with this huge bum! 

Dates

This is not a good picture but this is proof that we do go on dates!! We had the best time while Janay watched Avery.

We spend a lot of our day missing Hayden and waiting for him to get home. What better way to help the time go by than taking a million selfies and sending them to him?

When the camera comes out, so does her cheesy smile usually. I love it and think it's the cutest! She has the cutest and silliest personality.

If I would let her she would happily spend every single second of every day at the park trying to follow all the bigger kids around.

Avery Sue has the craziest bed head I've ever seen!! It makes me laugh:)

Shots are no fun for us or Avery. It makes for a rough few days. But we are glad that they keep our baby well! 

Micky Dees

12 months

At 12 months Avery:

 has 8 teeth ( 5 showing and 3 more half way out)

has been walking for 2 months already

RUNS

loves bananas and yogurt and string cheese so so much

she weighs 22 lbs (70%)

is 31 inches (90 %)

She is happy almost all of the time

Is very strong willed... (stubborn) 

says "mama", "dada", "ball" and a lot of other stuff we can't make out- this girls talks all day long

She points to things when she wants them and open and closes her hands repeatedly

is very attached to her momma

does pretty good sleeping through the night most nights, some nights are still hard.

loves to be outside.

when she wants to go outside she will grab her shoes go stand by the door and knock and yell momma over and over again.

She is so happy in the morning! when we go get her and bring her back in our room she just keeps giving us a million kisses. its my favorite.

Breakfast is her favorite meal, she gets so excited.

Dances! It is so funny, but she dances to any music

Knows all the signs to the songs "if your happy and you know it" and 

"popcorn popping on the apricot tree" It is SO adorable!

Loves being in the water, especially bath time.

Loves to give kisses.. big slobbery ones.

She loves to brush her teeth.. this is new and I am glad she decided she doesn't hate it anymore.

A birthday party for our ONE year old!!

We had such a fun party to celebrate miss Aves turning one!

We were so lucky to have so many family members stop by to 

sing happy birthday to her and watch her devour her cake!

Between the darling cupcake cake she devoured for her birthday 

pictures, and her actual birthday cake, this girl was sure on a sugar high!

Avery even had her grandma and grandpa from Oregon drive all the 

way down here to be here for it. We loved that!

She didn't need to warm up to them or anything- she just took to them right away.

After they left it took a solid 3 days for her to stop looking for them every morning she went downstairs.

Thanks to both our families for making the time to be here for our 

special girls special day :)

First birthday pictures!!

I am in denial that my baby is a year old!

It has seriously been the fastest/longest year of my life.

It seems like it was just yesterday that she was born.. 

I can remember every single detail of that special day and all the 

emotions that came with it!

I am afraid to blink, because I am afraid that she is 

just growing up right before my eyes.

I don't want to miss anything!

This past year has been the most wonderful year of my life!!

It has definitely been hard and frustrating, and there have most 

definitely been days where I wonder what I am doing and 

if I am mothering right, 

but above it all, I couldn't be more grateful for the past year and 

the joy and happiness that this special little girl has brought to our life.

I have never known such happiness before!

We survived!!

Hayden we lived, and Avery... so did you!!

little girl that I know. 

You are the most wonderful, beautiful and most special
